WILL MARUTHI SUZUKI INVICTO TAKEOVER HYCROSS ?

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well and feeling happy! Welcome back to "Drunken Tuner." Today, I have a very exciting car to review from a brand that has been close to the hearts of Indians for decades - the Maruti Suzuki New Invicto. Let's dive into this review together.

To begin with, the entire car has a Monocoque chassis and this particular vehicle is a Maruti Suzuki Hycross model with the same engine as its counterpart, but with slight modifications. The front of the car looks similar to the Cross model, except for the chrome finish on the grill and bumper area. It offers four driving modes: EV, ECO, NORMAL, and POWER. Additionally, it has cruise control, six airbags, electronic stability control, emergency brake assist, and a 360-degree camera.

The Invicto's second row lacks OTTOMAN SEATS, which is a significant drawback when compared to the Hycross. However, the Invicto does offer excellent seat comfort and a spacious panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the front seats are electronically adjustable, a first for Maruthi Suzuki, and both sides feature ventilated seats. The third row is also quite comfortable and offers decent seating.

According to its specifications, this car is equipped with a 4-cylinder 1987cc engine capable of producing 152 bhp power and 188Nm torque. In addition, it features an electric motor with 113 bhp and 206 Nm of torque. By combining these figures, the car functions as a hybrid, making it more economical and powerful. At lower speeds, the car runs on the electric motor, but when the speed increases, it switches to the combustion engine (PETR) mode.

The car starts at 24.79 lakhs (ex-showroom), which is less than the Hycross, but it doesn't have Level 2 ADAS or Ottoman seats.

Personally, I would choose the Toyota C-HR Hybrid and would be willing to spend between 200,000 to 300,000 rupees on it. However, I recently read in an article by Invictus that they are working on developing a level 2 ADAS system for future cars. Let's hope for the best.
